A Very Special Place
Located in Fort Bragg, northern California, Holly’s Ocean Meadow is a spectacular oceanfront wedding venue and vacation rental. Our property boasts stunning ocean views, a scenic meadow, and a spectacular private beach, making it an idyllic retreat for relaxation and celebration.
On Easter 1972 I was invited up to Fort Bragg, California, and spent my first night on this property. In 1978 we purchased and became caretakers of this special land. I raised my family here, and it has been a sanctuary for many of the special people that have come into my life.
For 42 years of my professional life, I owned a party equipment rental and event business. After my children had all left to pursue their own adventures, I took a three-month sabbatical to travel on my own throughout Guatemala and Spain, interviewing people who were passionate about what they did for a syndicated radio program.
Coming home with a fresh perspective, I realized that I had no need to live alone in such a big house and that both the house and surrounding property would be of better service by welcoming families and their guests to come, relax, connect, and celebrate their special events.
About Holly, Your Host
A few years after starting the vacation rental and venue business, I sold my other business, married the love of my life, and began our 15-year adventure of traveling. My husband and partner was a singer and artist, and I was his muse. You’ll see some of his work on fences and gates including “Abuelo Ballena,” bright red poppies, red steel sculpture in the meadow, and Mexican tiles placed in driftwood logs.
My intention is to continue my stewardship of this land through my children and grandchildren, filling it with our families’ love and joy and that of our guests. Holly’s Ocean Meadow is a special place, which you’ll understand as soon as you visit.

Watch whales, seals, dolphins, and sea lions swim by from our bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean or our private beach. Visit the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, right next door to Holly’s Ocean Meadow, the famous Glass Beach, several nearby state parks, the historic Skunk Train, and Noyo Harbor where you can hire whale and sport fishing charters.
Enjoy delicious food and live music at local restaurants and cafés such as Tall Guys Brewing and Headlands Coffeehouse in Fort Bragg, California. Walk, jog, or cycle over the 6-mile Haul Road coastal trail. Learn about marine science and ocean conservation efforts at the Noyo Center for Marine Science, in Noyo Harbor.
